Designed to resemble the traditional taqiyah hat worn by Middle Eastern men and boys, the stadium has 40,000 seats. It opened in October 2021 and hosted six matches of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup.
A six-team competition is organized there, and one round of 16 and one quarter-final will also take place there.
